Join us for a riveting discussion about the Okinawan diaspora here in the United States and worldwide. Cohosted with the Okinawa Prefectural Government DC Office, Dr. Ronald Nakasone, scholar of Okinawan Studies and Buddhism as well as accomplished calligrapher, and Dr. Taku Suzuki, Professor of International Studies at Denison College, will discuss the history of Okinawan diaspora, identity, and prospects for future inquiry. The webinar will be moderated by Dr. Kristen Luck, Librarian for the Okinawa Collection.
