About this Event
Webinar 55: February 24, 2026, 10:00am EST
AI developers increasingly design systems to remember user data, preferences, and past interactions. In doing so, these systems can deliver more personalized and detailed experiences. However, this strategy raises urgent questions about privacy, autonomy, human security, and accountability. Recently, the Center for Democracy & Technology’s AI Governance Lab released a report mapping the emerging landscape of AI systems and how they are designed to remember and act on personal data. Miranda Bogen, and her co-author, Ruchika Joshi, argue that decisions made now will determine whether AI memory strengthens trust and user control or entrenches privacy and other issues. Please join us as we discuss the report!
