The speaker, Burke Hendrix, is a professor of Political Science at the University of Oregon, with his work focusing on normative political theory and indigenous politics. His current research evaluates regulating land rights and sovereignty of indigenous peoples within the United States. Hendrix is the author of several books, including Strategies of Justice: Aboriginal Peoples, Persistent Injustice, and the Ethics of Political Action (2019).
