The Business and Finance Law (BFL) Program is hosting an asset management panel, led by Jennifer Choi (GW Law and Morningstar Funds Trust), bringing together industry experts Christopher Healey (Davis Polk), Marc Ponchione (Debevoise), Cynthia Beyea (Dechert), and David Grim (Stradley Ronon) to discuss their career trajectories and specialized roles in asset management law. The session explores the nuances of representing diverse clients, from fund sponsors to institutional investors, while navigating a complex regulatory environment and shifting SEC leadership. Beyond discussing market trends and practice-specific work, such as private assets and status issues, the panelists will cover advice for students on essential skills and successful business development, as well as career opportunities at the respective firms. Join us for an engaging panel discussion in the Faculty Conference Center from 5-6pm, directly followed by a cocktail reception with the speakers from 6-7pm.
