This introductory workshop covers the basics of Qualtrics, a versatile tool for creating, collecting, and reporting on surveys. Widely used across disciplines, it’s known for being user-friendly, flexible, and HIPAA compliant. Attendees will learn how to create a basic survey and different question types, implement skip and display logic, edit survey flow, adjust survey settings and security features, collaborate on and distribute surveys, and generate reports.

No prior Qualtrics experience is necessary. It is strongly recommended that participants create a Qualtrics account under the GW license before attending, as there will be hands-on activities in the workshop.

This workshop is part of the Collecting, Managing, and Sharing Data Responsibly series for GW community members looking to develop data collection, effective data management plans, and sharing strategies that address privacy concerns while enabling sharing of data for reproducibility.

All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prior to the event.

In-person attendance of this workshop is open to GW students, faculty, and staff whose GWorld allows them to tap into Gelman Library.
