DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Semi
 nar featuring distinguished speaker Vidar Enebakk\, PhD\, Director of NESH 
 (National Research Ethics Committee for the Social Sciences and the Humanit
 ies\, Norway)\n\n \n\nFollowing this session\, attendees will:\n\nunderstan
 d the role of science in society from an interdisciplinary and historical p
 erspective\;grasp scientists' role within the context of broader social res
 ponsibility and explore nuances inherent to this role\;learn from examples 
 that demonstrate the importance of scientific integrity to fostering academ
 ic freedom and contributing to the greater good of society. \n\nThis sessio
 n is open to faculty\, postdocs\, students\, and staff at GW\, Children’s N
 ational\, and academic institutions in the D.C. region. It is designed to h
 elp attendees meet the Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research training
  requirements set by the National Institutes of Health\, the National Scien
 ce Foundation\, and other federal agencies.\n\nHosted by the GW Office of t
