Peer educators will learn about and identify the key attributes of their role in supporting students in their coursework. During the workshop, we will review and discuss a variety of roles and discuss which are most appropriate for peer educators. Using this information, peer educators will write a definition of a Peer Educator and a short philosophy that demonstrates their understanding of the guiding principles discussed.

This workshop is part of the Strategies for Effective Peer Education series to provide peer tutors and learning assistants with the knowledge and skills to help students master challenging course content, strrengthen foundational skills, and meet diverse student needs.
