Faculty are invited to a Round Table with experts from the DC area discussing the above-named three key issues related to GenAI and ethics. This is the next-to-final workshop in the year-long University Seminar on Critical AI Literacy and WID.
This workshop will feature:
- Nicol Turner Lee discussing GenAI in relation to biases and harm to marginalized groups. Director of the Center for Technology Innovation at Brookings and Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at Brookings.
- Meredith Jacob discussing GenAI in relation to intellectual property. Director of the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property ‘s Project on Copyright and Open Licensing at American University’s Washington College of Law.
- Douglas Eyman discussing Gen AI in relation to the environment and sustainability. Director of Writing and Rhetoric Programs at George Mason University.
