About this Event
This workshop explores the role of web archives in preserving our shared digital culture. Participants will investigate how web archives may be used in various settings – by scholars for research, by journalists for news reporting, within legal proceedings, and as a tool used by individuals to preserve their own digital data.
Through hands-on experience with web archiving technology participants will gain the knowledge to critically assess the value and limitations of web archives. No prior experience is necessary to attend this workshop.
This workshop is part of the Using Programming and Code for Research series for anyone who wants to get started or learn more about use programming languages like Python, R, or other applications. These tools can help you to collect, manipulate, clean, analyze, and visualize research data or automate many repetitive tasks.
