About this Event
This year's theme is New Research on Ukraine: Politics, Society, War. The event will feature leading scholars from inside and outside Ukraine presenting important new research on international relations dimensions of the war, the drivers of Ukraine’s domestic politics, how its people and institutions are responding to wartime challenges, and future possibilities. Topics will range from Putin’s nuclear brinksmanship to trends in Ukrainian public opinion to dilemmas facing journalists balancing freedom of information with wartime needs. By featuring academics and invited expert discussants, panels aim to present a deeper, more thoughtful discussion than is often heard in mass media, where oversimplified interpretations are common. The conference will be completely online so as to foster discussion with attendees around the world.
