It is 2028, and a collision between Chinese and Philippine vessels has prompted large-scale Chinese military exercises around Luzon Island and in the Taiwan Strait. Join Strategic Crisis Simulations for our signature annual U.S.—China simulation, Rising Tides. Participants have the option to play as suddenly surrounded Taiwanese officials, frustrated Chinese Ministry of State Security officers, interloping Vietnamese diplomats, or Philippine military officers reeling from a re-ignition of the dormant Mindanao conflict and a bruising presidential election.

 

Rising Tides will take place on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 11:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST. This simulation will be held in-person at George Washington University's Funger Hall, 2201 G St NW, Washington, DC 20052. We will be providing a catered lunch for attendees.
