Calling all GWU students and Dancers from the community! Get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythm and romance of Argentina with our exclusive weekend Tango workshop, right here on campus.

Whether you're a beginner eager to take your first steps or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your technique, this workshop is perfect for you. From sultry embraces to intricate footwork, our expert instructor will guide you through the fundamentals and beyond, ensuring an unforgettable journey into the world of Tango.

Workshops will be free for GW students/tango club. Register in GW engage is required.

Pricing for outside communtiy (not GW students):
1 Workshop= $40
2 Workshops= $70 ($35 per workshop)
3 Workshops =$100
4 Workshops = $120 ($30 per workshop)

Gaby is world renowned argentine tango dancer and was recently featured in the Valentango 2024 festival and has headlined other major tango festivals like the Philadelphia tango festival.

BODY AWARENESS for Tango Technique: developing a consciousness of our own body, our choices of movement and the perception of our work together as a dancing team. Applying into different kinds of BOLEOS!
1 pm - 2.30 pm
Potentiating our TANGO IMPROVISATION: how to turn a sequence into a shared dance. Musicality, expression, pauses, linear/circular and melodic/rhythmic qualities of movement: expanding the universe to have more fun!

OUT OF AXIS MOVEMENTS:
We’ll have two full hours to experiment, investigate and build up our axis and then our out of axis movements and possibilities in Tango.
