Join us for an evening with I Love Boosters as we unpack Boots Riley’s surreal and provocative take on race, class, culture, identity, labor, fashion, consumerism, capitalism, and power. Through humor, satire, and an unconventional story of friendship and rebellion, the film invites us to critically examine who gets to create, who gets to profit, and who gets left behind.

We will explore how media uses tropes, satire, symbolism, and storytelling to shape our understanding of social identities and cultural experiences. Together, we will analyze how the film challenges familiar representations of race, class, gender, labor, and consumer culture while considering how media can both reinforce and disrupt dominant social narratives.
