JUXTAPOSITION is a half-day summit on AI, the creative economy, and the future of work — where builders, artists, and business minds collide.
The GW School of Business interdisciplinary course Business & Society: Artificial Intelligence (June 2026) explores the dynamic interplay between AI, business practices, and societal outcomes. JUXTAPOSITION is its public stage — a half-day conference, a PROMPTHON challenge, and an art-vs-prompt exhibition that put the implications of AI and algorithmic design in front of the GWSB community and the broader builder world.
Highlights of this unique mini-conference include:
Keynote session: examining AI’s broad impact on business and society by Garry Bolles.
The Summit: Talks, panels and provocations on AI's impact on business, labor, creativity, and society - featuring faculty, brands, builders, and practitioners.
The PROMPTHON: Vibe code your idea to life. Builders go head-to-head shipping AI-powered prototypes against the clock.
Art vs Prompt: A live art exhibition juxtaposing human artistry with AI-generated work - you decide which is which.
Note: This summit is part of the summer 2026 course Business & Society: Artificial Intelligence (3.0 credits - SMPP 6215-G - CRN 61006), taught by Professor Thomas DeBass from June 10–13, 2026. Students do not need to be enrolled to attend the Summit on June 12.
