The Radisson Hotel Group, one of the largest hotel brands in the world, will explore some of the challenges associated with sustainable business operations, examples of best practices, and certifications that advance environmental and social sustainability.
Inge Huijbrechts, Global Senior Vice President of Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications for Radisson Hotel Group, is responsible for developing the Responsible Business program in the group’s 1,500 hotels in operations and development in 115 countries worldwide. Dr. Joseph Ruddy is a human capital and quality assurance expert with decades of experience in the hospitality industry in many countries. He will discuss hotel classification systems and careers in the industry.

Travel and Tourism comprises the third largest industry in the world, accounting for 11t% of global GDP and 40% of all new jobs created worldwide. Accordingly, it is critical for industry leaders to take firm action to reduce environmental impacts and improve the lives of guests, workers, and communities, advancing the journey toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
