On March 25th GWU's ASA will be hosting our 15th Annual Taste of Africa event.
The theme for this year’s event is Sankofa: The Return of The Past. Sankofa is a Twi word meaning to retrieve. With this year's event, we hope to showcase as much of our collective traditional culture so that we can create a better and brighter future!
This event is a chance for African students at GW to join together and celebrate the richness of the African culture. TOA will include a fashion show featuring local DMV designers, dance performances, singers, guest speakers, and much more! Taste of Africa also features an extraordinary dinner catered by some of the DMV's best African Restaurants. We will feature tasty cuisines from many different regions in Africa (North, East, West, Central, and South).
GWU ASA is hoping to make Taste of Africa this year reach new heights! We would love for you to join us for a night to remember, the African community.
Cocktail Hour Starts at 5:30pm | Event Begins at 6:00pm | Dinner To Follow
