Join the University Writing Program for an event featuring Aishah Alfadhalah, co-founder of Mera Kitchen Collective. The talk will cover the history and growth of Mera Kitchen Collective in Baltimore, exploring what a co-op structure entails and why Mera’s team chose this model. It will also address the ongoing challenges the collective faces and its future vision for building a sustainable, community-driven organization.

This event is hosted by UW 1020 Professor Nabila Hijazi in collaboration with the GW Global Food Institute, and funded by the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and the University Seminars Funding Program.
