Join the East Asia National Resource Center (NRC) for an in-depth virtual talk featuring Dr. Don Wyatt, Distinguished Professor at Middlebury College and scholar on the intellectual history of China, to discuss the possibility of an African presence in Early Modern China on November 18th, 2024! During this seminar, Dr. Wyatt will discuss if, how, and why Africans had come to reside in China during a time where such interactions seemed impossible, as well as provide some informed speculation on their eventual collective fate.
