The GW UNESCO Chair in International Education for Development was founded in 2014. Housed in the GW International Education Program, the Chair aims to

  • build capacity among the newest generation of international educators to address global challenges;
  • serve as a global convener of policymakers, practitioners and scholars; and
  • cultivate new research opportunities with local, national, and global communities toward a more just, equitable, and sustainable world.
