ODEDE’s inaugural Viva Voce: Faculty Voices series draws inspiration from the many ancient cultures that have used storytelling as a way to create connection, bridge cultural divides, and overall, remember their history. This space was created to honor the importance of word-of-mouth storytelling that lies with the living voices, or viva voce, which for centuries has allowed for lessons to be passed down through generations within marginalized communities.
