Though Guna molas are recognized worldwide for their bright colors and complex embroidery, little is known about the Guna women who make molas. Join the CCAS Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute, DAR, and the Elliott School Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for a discussion on how Guna epistemology shapes the self-identity of these women and is expressed through their material art. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Tahina Montoya (Elliott) and feature the three extraordinary Guna women. After the event, enjoy a photography and mola exhibit, along with Panamanian food!
