The Petrach Program on Ukraine is housed within the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES). It specializes in researching contemporary Ukrainian politics, society, and culture. It was created in the mid-1990s with the Petrach Endowment for Ukrainian Studies and experienced tremendous growth with the creation of the Elliott School Funds for Displaced Scholars, launched in Spring 2022 as an answer to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Today, IERES offers multiple opportunities for research on Ukraine and for Ukrainian scholars to study contemporary Ukraine and its place on the international scene.
