GW DANCE - VIRTUAL PRESENTATION, December 3, 2020 at 7:30 pm
PRIOR TO THE AUDITION - DANCERS PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Request the one-page audition form (schedule of classes) at [email protected]
2. Return completed audition form and submit a 30 Seconds to One Minute video of yourself dancing (improvisation or choreography) to [email protected]
After submission of audition form & video Zoom link will be sent to you.
ZOOM will open at 6:30 pm; AUDITION will begin at 7:00 pm.
Further information to help you prepare. About auditions:
⁃ For the virtual audition, please be sure to set your camera up onto a hip level surface (a table or chair) and have light illuminating you from the front.
⁃ You will have the opportunity to specify how many pieces you would like to be considered for (2 maximum).
⁃ There will be a combination taught by Giselle Ruzany, dance faculty, and an improvisation exercise led by student choreographers.
⁃ To allow the choreographers to better view the dancers, you will be separated into groups of 4 to audition,
About the dances to be created:
⁃ When CAST, choreographers will reach out with further details such as where to record, what to wear, etc.
⁃ Each dancer will learn and record rehearsals remotely, from wherever you are. You are an important collaborator with the student choreographer.
⁃ Dancers will be provided with a tripod for recording purposes (if needed).
