GW InfluenceHER: Greene Piece's Maryah Greene, CCAS BA '17
Online via Zoom
Maryah Greene, CCAS BA '17, plant stylist, consultant and educator, and owner and founder of Greene Piece, joins us for the next installment in our series, GW InfluenceHER. Greene will share the stories behind her GW experiences, professional journey, and how she turned her passion into a career.
Growing up in the suburbs of Japan, Greene became enamored with the way the Japanese culture admires, cares for, and honors indoor spaces. After completing her BA in sociology at GW, Greene moved to New York to pursue a master's degree in education, where she started to cultivate green in her own spaces. What started as an Instagram account filled with plant tips and tricks blossomed into a full-blown business as demand for her expertise grew. Greene solidified her position as New York’s go-to plant stylist following appearances and features in The New York Times, Vogue, Architectural Digest, Good Morning America and more. Much like her plants, Greene knows what it's like to start from seed and has no intention of stopping anytime soon.
This event will take place via Zoom. Please RSVP to receive the login credentials. Please note that this event will take place at 4pm EST.
