Luther W. Brady, M.D. (1925-2018), the gallery's namesake and benefactor, was a world-renowned radiation oncologist who earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the George Washington University (GW). He also received the honorary degree of doctor of fine arts from GW in May 2004 and the President's Medal in 2015.  In a lasting gift to the university, he left a number of works from his personal collection of artwork by renowned American and European artists including Richard Diebenkorn, Helen Frankenthaler, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and Jules Olitski to the GW Collection. Over 50 works will be on view.
