Dolores Huerta, tireless labor organizer and Founder and President of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, will take the stage with Chef José Andrés, internationally-recognized culinary innovator, Owner of ThinkFoodGroup, and Founder of World Central Kitchen, to discuss the complex – often contentious – issues surrounding immigration and the undocumented food system in the United States. After a brief introduction, Dolores Huerta will deliver a keynote lecture, followed by a conversation between Dolores Huerta and José Andrés, moderated by GW School of Media and Public Affairs professor Dr. Imani Cheers. Afterwards, students, faculty, staff, and members of the greater community will be able to ask question s in a Q&A. This public lecture is part of World on a Plate, a course created and designed by Chef José Andrés at the George Washington University.
The event is free and open to the public.
