Want to learn how to make a basic website? In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of writing the behind-the-scenes language (HTML) that browsers use to display contents on a webpage and the styling directives (CSS) that describe how that HTML should be displayed. No previous programming experience is necessary, just a basic understanding of computer files and folders. Please bring a laptop to this workshop. Prior to attending, please have installed a "text editor" on your laptop. On Windows, this could be Notepad (which comes with Windows) or Notepad++. On Mac this could be TextEdit (which comes with Mac) or TextMate. On Linux this could be nano.
All sessions will be first-come, first served and are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Attendance requires no reservation.
