Racial discrimination in housing has been well-documented, even as it has persisted. This event brings together leaders in the field to discuss the challenges and strategies for implementing fair-housing policies and practices. 

Distinguished Guest:

Gregory D. Squires: Professor of Sociology and Public Policy & Public Administration. This event honors Professor Squires' incredible accomplishments through his body of work and celebrates his retirement from George Washington University. The Department of Sociology expresses its appreciation for his many contributions and his elevation of issues including housing discrimination, community-based research, gentrification and uneven metropolitan development.
