Art Competition Exhibition in Gallery 1 (500 17th Street NW), open to the public from July 19 through August 2, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 1 to 6 p.m.

The D.C. Department of Health is partnering with the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design to spread the word about a new sexual health campaign launching on July 19, 2018. The campaign centers on the idea that “Sex is a natural part of being”. That being includes: Being+ confident, Being+ empowered, Being+ brave or Being+ bold, among others.

The art competition is meant to illustrate the essence of a sexual being and further the discussion about sexual health in D.C.

At this evening event, Corcoran students will display dynamic works of art centered on the theme of Sexual + Being. Each piece will represent a new and unique interpretation of a multifaceted sexual being - a human being.

Come learn what type of Being you are. The aim of this event is to help normalize the sexual health conversation and break down barriers to the discussion of sexual health, in all aspects. The public will not only view these amazing pieces of art, but will also have the opportunity to pick three of their fan favorites!

Admission is free and will include light bites and a cash bar.
