Speak with confidence: project your voice

 

Speak With Confidence is an academic skills workshop series designed to improve the oral academic English skills of GW international students who speak English as a second or additional language. Workshops will cover topics such as classroom discussions, small talk, debates, and oral presentations. The Academic to Professional Communication Track is focused on academic and professional communication goals.

These workshops are facilitated by the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program and sponsored by the International Services Offices (ISO).

This workshop is also offered on Friday, January 18, 2019 - 12:45-2:15pm.

Speak With Confidence is an academic skills workshop series designed to improve the oral academic English skills of GW international students who speak English as a second or additional language. Speak With Confidence: Project Your Voice is part of the Pronunciation track. These sessions, taught by Professor Cara Fulton, are focused on pronunciation and comprehensibility in speaking. Other workshops in this Spring 2019 series are Speak With Confidence: Stress, Speak With Confidence: Emphasis, Speak With Confidence: Intonation.

All sessions will be first-come, first served and are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Attendance requires no reservation.
