Speak With Confidence is an academic skills workshop series designed to improve the oral academic English skills of GW international students who speak English as a second or additional language. Workshops will cover topics such as classroom discussions, small talk, debates, and oral presentations. The Academic to Professional Communication Track is focused on academic and professional communication goals. These workshops are facilitated by the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program and sponsored by the International Services Offices (ISO).

This workshop is also offered on Sunday, January 20, 2019 - 2-3:30pm.

Speak With Confidence is an academic skills workshop series designed to improve the oral academic English skills of GW international students who speak English as a second or additional language. Workshops in this series are sponsored by the GW English for Academic Pruposes. Speak With Confidence: Self Introductions & Small Talk is part of the Academic to Professional Communication track. These sessions, taught by Professor Jose Power, are focused on on academic and professional communication goals. Other workshops in this Spring 2019 series are Speak With Confidence: Asking Questions in Class, Speak With Confidence: Disagreeing & Interrupting, Speak With Confidence: Oral Presentations.

All sessions will be first-come, first served and are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Attendance requires no reservation.
