Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies' Alumni Speaker Series

WGSS' "Envisioning Change"

Envisioning Change Flyer

The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Program's Alumni Speaker Series showcases and celebrates the many accomplishments and diverse paths our alumni have taken, through a dialogue on challenges and opportunities in working toward change on issues related to women, gender, and sexuality, here in the United States, and around the world.

This fall, the Alumni Speaker Series continues with Susan Markham (MA '94), Trey Johnston (MA '17) and Gina Chirillo (MPP '17).

Susan Markham is a partner at Smash Strategies who helps companies and not-for-profit organizations consider gender equality for businesses. Trey Johnson is the Associate Director of the Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute, where he works to elevate Latinx voices at GW and beyond. Gina Chirillo currently serves as the Senior Program Officer, Gender at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, where she handles empowering women in politics and promoting inclusive elections and democratic processes.
